Bloodstreams Battles: Zero Hour Remastered is an upcoming fighting game from Bloodstreams to be a port of the ninth main installment for the Nintendo Switch, in the Bloodstreams Battles series.

Creation

Zero Hour Remastered was first teased in Messenger messages, and was officially announced on this Tweet in April 19, 2020.

In May 13, 2020, due to faulty conditions, the game's development was reset to use the Zero Hour 1.2 codebase.

In April 7, 2024, another development reset was made to use the Zero Hour 1.3 codebase.

Changes from Zero Hour

  • Microphone Attacks are now performed by pressing the left stick.
  • A new campaign called Into the Fire that can be unlocked by clearing the main campaign. This results in all DLC characters from waves 1, 2, 3 and 4 becoming unlockable characters, thus removing the "DLC Shop" option from the main menu.
  • A revamped Multiplayer, functioning more like Bloodstreams Battles Online rather than Bloodstreams Battles: Doom War.
  • The game was rescaled to use the 16:9 aspect ratio.
  • Cyborg Ninja's BB3DS outfit is now available once the player unlocks Cyborg Ninja, instead of mounting Bloodstreams Battles for Nintendo 3DS in.
  • The lower HUD has been completely removed to stand with the Switch's one-screen layout, but it is still possible to pause using the Touch Screen when in Handheld/Tabletop Mode — this results in the game separating the title screen and main menu screens into two screens, much like Bloodstreams Battles Online.
  • Additional content not present in DLC Pack #4 or Version 1.3.
  • Backwards compatibility with Bloodstreams Battles for Nintendo 3DS and Zero Hour is provided with the SmileBASIC 4 servers, allowing for importation.
  • USB keyboard support with Online-inspired controls.
